Shri T.M.K.R Kannusamy Pillay

Father

T.M.K.R. Kannusamy Pillay was a prominent Seychellois merchant who significantly contributed to the economic landscape of Seychelles. In 1980, he established the RK Trading on Benezet Street in Victoria, specializing in textiles, garments, and electronics, which quickly became a popular shopping destination for locals.

In recognition of his contributions, T.M.K.R. Kannusamy Pillay was posthumously honoured during the Indian Diaspora Day celebrations in 2017, acknowledging his hard work, honesty, and sincerity towards his adopted country.
